Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the agreement between you and DocuTract ("DocuTract", "we", "us") for your use of the DocuTract service at docutract.online. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you use DocuTract on behalf of an organisation, you accept these Terms for that organisation.

The service

DocuTract lets you build a document template once — a Word document with the fields you need — upload scans and source files, and receive a filled, editable document with a source cited for every value. Extraction is assisted by automated systems and is not guaranteed to be perfect (see Accuracy).

Your account

You are responsible for your account and for everything done under it. You must provide accurate information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country). Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• upload content you do not have the right to process, or that infringes someone else's rights;
• use DocuTract to break the law, or to process data you are not permitted to handle;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, overload or circumvent the limits or security of the service;
• resell or provide the service to third parties except as expressly permitted by your plan.

Your content and licence

You retain all rights to the templates, scans and documents you upload and generate ("Your Content"). You grant DocuTract a limited, worldwide licence to host, process and transmit Your Content solely to operate the service for you — for example to run extraction and to generate your documents. We do not use Your Content to train machine-learning models. Our handling of personal data within Your Content is governed by the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement.

Plans, quotas and billing

A generated document is the only billing unit. Creating templates and uploading scans are always free and unlimited; plans differ only in how many documents you may generate per month. If a generated document contains an extraction error, regenerating it is free and does not count against your quota.

Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor on a recurring basis until cancelled. Quotas reset each billing period. Fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change prices with reasonable advance notice; changes take effect at your next renewal.

Free tier

DocuTract offers a free tier so you can try it on real documents, with no payment card required. The free tier is subject to the same Acceptable Use rules and to its monthly document limit.

Accuracy

DocuTract automates document preparation, but automated extraction can be wrong or incomplete. Every value is shown with its source so you can verify it. You are responsible for reviewing each generated document before relying on, signing or submitting it. DocuTract is not a provider of legal, financial or other professional advice.

Intellectual property

The DocuTract software, design system, brand and documentation are owned by DocuTract and protected by law. These Terms grant you no rights in them beyond using the service.

Termination

You may stop using DocuTract and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the service or other users. On termination, the handling and deletion of Your Content follow the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. To that same extent, DocuTract is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. When we make a material change we revise the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use DocuTract after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at DocuTract's place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Questions about these Terms? Write to legal@docutract.online.
